We face an uncertain future, with many changes on the horizon. The environment in which we practice is changing, and VOS continues to fight for what is in the best interests of our patients and all orthopaedic surgeons in the Commonwealth.
Our membership continues to grow. If you are reading this newsletter, you may not believe it, but some orthopaedic surgeons practicing in Virginia have not yet discovered the benefits of membership. Our yearly meeting is a high point of the year, and this year promises to be one of our best meetings yet. Williamsburg is a wonderful venue for a meeting, with plenty of fun and educational opportunities for families. Drs. Nicole Deal and Andrew Wolff have put together an exciting, clinically relevant program, which I am sure you will enjoy. Sara Rynders, PA-C, has designed break-out sessions for physician assistants. I would remind you that PAs are eligible for membership in VOS; if you attend, think about bringing your physician assistants along. CME credits are available.
