The VOS Program Committee has put together a comprehensive program for the Annual Meeting on April 21-23 at the Boar’s Head Innin Charlottesville.
This year’s program is packed with outstanding content for all orthopaedic surgeons and we look forward to bringing together providers from throughout the state. We are excited to announce our keynote speakers this year are John Clohisy from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and Andrew Burgess from the University of Texas at Houston.
The program will start on Friday afternoon with a poster session reception with our sponsors. We are introducing a “Resident Quiz Bowl” onFriday evening in which residents from UVA, VCU, and Portsmouth Navy will face off with pride on the line (as well as the Quiz Bowl trophy) on the line.
Saturday kicks off with research presentations by orthopaedic leaders from around the state followed by timely topics on arthroplasty and fragility fractures. Dr. Clohisy will present his approach to hip arthritis in the young patient and lead a panel of experts in the discussion of controversial hip cases.
After additional research presentations on Sunday morning, we will feature trauma topics including the latest on fractures of the upper and lower extremities. Dr. Burgess will close the meeting with his outstanding insight into the history of the treatment of pelvic fractures.
Please join us in beautiful Charlottesville this spring as we work together to advance our collective knowledge of orthopaedic surgery.
