Dr. Manny Sethi |
Colleague,
I need your help.
Our healthcare system is broken. The system is broken for families and broken for physicians. Like you, I went into medicine to make a difference. However, with the layers of bureaucracy and burden the physician/patient relationship is in great peril.
How can something that touches and profoundly impacts every American be so broken? Because Washington elitists, trial attorneys and the DC establishment dictate how we practice medicine.
I’m working hard to make sure that our voice is heard and that there is a leader to stand up for physicians and deliver healthcare reform that works for OUR profession. DC is flooded with attorneys, over 200 elected officials hold a law degree, and over 50% of the U.S. Senate are lawyers by training.
That’s why I’m running for the U.S. open Senate seat in Tennessee. But the DC establishment is trying to make sure that this seat is hand-picked for yet another elitist, and that special interest groups, like the insurers, can control.
It’s time to take charge. Let’s stand up to the DC establishment and show them that doctors can effect change.
My team just launched a Physicians for Change Committee. With your support, I can run my ad, tell my story and flood the airwaves. I need your help to raise $250,000 by the end of this month. I have already amassed over $3 million, gaining me the title of a top tier candidate. Let’s put an end to nepotism from the establishment and send an outsider physician to the Senate, not another career politician.
This is a national race. The Senate is discussing now how to fix the issue of surprise billing. The insurers are convincing the Senate that physicians are the villain and pushing the idea that all out-of-network bills be tied to a median in-network rate. I know that the REAL problem is network adequacy and once elected, I will fight for a reasonable solution that takes patients out of the middle and ensures FAIR payment for physicians.
Can you join my Physicians for Change Committee today? I want to show the establishment that the house of medicine is strong, united and has had enough. No more career politicians telling us how to practice. I’m ready to make a different kind of difference, but I need your support.
Can I count on you to make a donation?
With appreciation,
Dr. Manny
Dr. Manny is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon at Vanderbilt, the founder of a not-for-profit Health Tennessee, which has delivered free healthcare to thousands of Tennesseans across the state. Now he has his sights on the U.S. open Senate seat. You might ask yourself, what does this have to do with me or Virginia? To that I would say, a lot! There are only 100 U.S. Senators, and this is our chance to elect someone who has walked in our shoes for many years. He will fight for our profession on scope of practice issues, fair reimbursement, protect and expand ownership, increase choice competition and access, and stand up to the insurers and lawyers.
