RICHMOND, June 7, 2021 - The Virginia Orthopaedic Society, which is the premier voice for musculoskeletal healthcare in the Commonwealth is pleased to announce Delegate Patrick Hope as their 2021 Legislator of the Year.
VOS chose to honor Delegate Hope for his commitment to improving healthcare in Virginia for both patients and the providers who deliver care. As the Chair of the House Health, Welfare and Institutions subcommittee on Health and senior member of the full Committee, Delegate Hope is a leader on healthcare policy.
“We are thrilled to award Delegate Hope as our 2021 Legislator of the Year. In the more than ten years he’s served in the House of Delegates, he has been a champion for both patients and providers,” said Dr. Nicole Deal, the Immediate Past President of VOS.
The award was given to Delegate Hope at the OrthoVirginia clinic at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington on Thursday, June 3. VOS members, Dr. Jeff Schulman and Dr. David Romness, presented the award and thanked the Delegate for his public service.

The Virginia Orthopaedic Society represents 480 orthopaedic surgeons, physician assistants, and athletic trainers throughout the Commonwealth. VOS works to enhance the overall quality of orthopaedic care and to create a favorable environment for its delivery.
