OREF is a charitable foundation founded by orthopaedic surgeons. It is the only charitable foundation supporting research across all orthopaedic sub-specialties. Research funded by OREF has expanded knowledge and led to innovative preventive strategies, new diagnostic tools, more effective treatments and better patient outcomes.
Since 1955, OREF has provided $142 million to more than 4,700 orthopaedic investigators. In 2015, OREF will give nearly $2.5 million to grant and award recipients.
