OREF is a charitable foundation founded by orthopaedic surgeons. It is the only charitable foundation supporting research across all orthopaedic subspecialties. Research funded by OREF has expanded knowledge and led to innovative preventive strategies, new diagnostic tools, more effective treatments, and better patient outcomes.
Since 1955, OREF has provided $142 million to more than 4,700 orthopaedic investigators. In 2020, OREF will offer nearly $2.5 million to grant and award recipients. However, one-third of investigators whose applications qualified for funding had to be turned away due to a lack of available dollars. Please visit www.oref.org/donate to make your 2020 gift.
